Audio excerpt from the installation
Summer Night Forever
Multi Media Installation completed while in residence at Recology San Francisco in 2017
Created during a four month residency at the San Francisco dump, this installation was created entirely from materials scavenged from the waste stream and included reconstructed functioning lamps, stereos, a VCR, a white noise machine, and a baby monitor. Scavenged sounds were played in the electronics and created a chorus for the installation and included the 'Summer Night' track on a white noise machine.
Audio from the installation came from the white noise machine, found CDs, casette tapes, and VHS tapes from the dump-- which included whale sounds, a Joy Division mix tape, a Nrivana CD, and the Titanic soundtrack.
