Cover Fire expands on research into the blackout as a form, function, and concept. The video holds up two lenses: one depicts a projected light from an unseen source in constant motion as it reveals brief information about the environment it is in; the other lens contains a photographic slideshow of forms that are vague yet referential actor or props, visually demonstrating a lineage of lighting history through form. The format of the video is meant to conflate the frameworks of documentary film, the organizational system of an archive, and the sensibility of a horror movie.
